Who replaced James Caan as an investor on the British television series Dragon's Den in 2011?

The story behind the answer

Hilary Devey replaced James Caan as an investor on the British television series Dragon's Den in 2011.

Devey joined the programme during its ninth series, taking the place of Caan on the investor panel. She was known for her business career in freight and logistics, particularly as the founder and chief executive of Pall-Ex, a palletised freight network.

Her arrival continued the show's practice of refreshing its panel while retaining established investors such as Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden and Duncan Bannatyne. Devey remained associated with the programme for several series before leaving the regular panel.

James Caan had joined Dragon's Den in 2007, following the departure of fellow investor Richard Farleigh. Later panel changes brought in investors including Kelly Hoppen, Nick Jenkins, Sarah Willingham and Touker Suleyman.
