Who presented the UK television series Dragon's Den before Evan Davis?

Adrian Chiles presented the UK television series Dragon's Den before Evan Davis.

Chiles was the programme's original presenter. He is a British television and radio broadcaster whose work has included business, current affairs, football and general entertainment. His presentation helped establish the format for British viewers during its early years.

Evan Davis later became the best-known long-term presenter of the programme. Davis is an economics journalist and broadcaster, and his background suited the show's emphasis on valuation, investment and business performance. Because Davis hosted the programme for many years, viewers who remember later series may overlook Chiles's earlier role.

The question asks for the presenter before Davis, not for a dragon or an investor. Adrian Chiles did not sit on the panel making offers; he introduced the pitches, guided transitions and provided the link between the entrepreneurs and the dragons.
