Who presented the first 18 series of the BBC business show Dragon's Den?

The story behind the answer

Evan Davis presented the first 18 series of the BBC business show Dragon's Den.

Davis became the programme's presenter when the British version launched in 2005. His role was to introduce entrepreneurs, explain the investment pitches and question the Dragons about offers and negotiations.

He remained associated with the show for many years before leaving the presenting role. This is sometimes confused with the investors themselves, because the panel has changed repeatedly while Davis provided continuity from the presenter’s chair.

Davis is also known for presenting BBC Radio 4’s business and current-affairs programmes, including The Bottom Line and PM. His career has combined economics, journalism, broadcasting and television production.
