Evan Davis presented the British TV programme Dragon's Den for most of its original run.
Davis is a British journalist, broadcaster and economist. He became associated with Dragon's Den as its presenter, introducing entrepreneurs, explaining the investment process and guiding viewers through the negotiations in the studio.
His role was different from that of the Dragons themselves. The Dragons assessed the proposals and decided whether to invest, while Davis acted as the programme’s presenter and narrator. This distinction matters because several presenters and panel members have been connected with BBC business programming.
Davis later became especially known for presenting BBC political and news programmes, including Newsnight and PM. His Dragon's Den work formed an important part of his television career and helped establish the tone of the British adaptation.
