Evan Davis presented the British television show Dragon's Den for most of its early run.
Davis is a British broadcaster and journalist who became closely associated with the programme as its presenter. He guides viewers through the pitches, introduces the entrepreneurs and explains the outcome of negotiations, while the dragons conduct the investment questioning themselves.
Adrian Chiles presented the first series, so both presenters are linked to the show's beginning. Davis took over after that opening series and became the familiar on-screen host during the programme's expansion in popularity. His role is separate from that of the dragons: he does not normally sit on the investor panel or decide whether a business receives funding.
A common mix-up is to name one of the investors, such as Peter Jones or Deborah Meaden, when asked for the presenter. The host and the dragons have distinct jobs within the format.
