Who plays the character of Stan Edgar?

Giancarlo Esposito plays Stan Edgar in The Boys. Edgar is the controlled, calculating former chief executive of Vought International and one of the few people willing to confront Homelander directly.

Esposito’s performance gives Stan Edgar a restrained style that contrasts with the show’s more openly theatrical villains. Rather than relying on superpowers, Edgar uses corporate authority, strategy, political influence, and psychological pressure. His calm manner makes his clashes with Homelander especially significant: Edgar treats Homelander as a product managed by Vought, not as an untouchable god.

Esposito was already widely known for playing Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. That earlier role often causes quiz-takers to associate him with a different character name, but Stan Edgar is the correct answer for The Boys. Jim Beaver, Jensen Ackles, and Aldis Hodge play other characters in the series.
