Who plays the character Frenchie in The Boys?

The story behind the answer

Tomer Capone plays Frenchie in The Boys. In the television adaptation, Frenchie is a highly capable explosives expert and former criminal whose real name is Serge, though the series usually identifies him by his nickname.

Frenchie becomes one of the core members of the Boys after Mallory recruits him. His unusual skills, impulsive personality, and willingness to improvise make him valuable during the group’s operations against Vought and its superheroes. He also develops a close, complicated relationship with Kimiko Miyashiro, known by the group as the Female.

Capone is an Israeli actor who was born in Holon on July 15, 1985. Before The Boys, he appeared in Israeli productions including Hostages, Fauda, and When Heroes Fly. He received an Ophir Award for Best Supporting Actor for the 2016 film One Week and a Day.

The character differs from the comic-book version in several ways. The television Frenchie is not a Supe, uses the real name Serge, and has a more developed romantic connection with Kimiko. Capone was credited as Tomer Capon during the show’s first two seasons.
