Who plays Howard Hamlin in Better Call Saul?
Answer
Patrick Fabian
Patrick Fabian plays Howard Hamlin in Better Call Saul.
Howard is a senior partner at Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill, the Albuquerque law firm founded by his father, George M. Hamlin, together with Chuck McGill. He initially appears to be Jimmy’s main professional obstacle, although the series gradually reveals a more complicated relationship among Howard, Chuck, and Jimmy.
Fabian’s performance presents Howard as polished, controlled, and highly conscious of professional reputation. The character’s tailored suits and formal manner contrast with Jimmy’s improvisational style and Kim Wexler’s more understated approach to legal work.
Howard is sometimes confused with Chuck because both are senior HHM figures. Michael McKean plays Chuck, while Patrick Fabian plays Howard. Fabian’s other television credits include Veronica Mars, Big Love, and the Starz series The Righteous Gemstones.
