The Better Call Saul episode featuring Jimmy’s desert trek is titled “Bagman.”
“Bagman” is the eighth episode of season five. Jimmy agrees to collect Lalo Salamanca’s bail money, but the mission turns dangerous when gunmen attack the convoy in the desert. Mike Ehrmantraut intervenes, and the two men must transport the cash across harsh terrain.
The episode is notable for its stripped-down survival story, long stretches of silence, and focus on the changing relationship between Jimmy and Mike. Jimmy’s decision to carry the money despite the risks becomes another step toward the criminal-lawyer persona later associated with Saul Goodman.
“Bagman” is sometimes confused with “Bad Choice Road,” which follows its immediate consequences. The title refers to Jimmy’s role as the person carrying and delivering the cartel’s money.
