Who played the teenage John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgment Day?

Edward Furlong played the teenage John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Furlong made his film debut in the role. In the sequel, John is a young teenager living with foster parents when he encounters the T-800, a reprogrammed Terminator sent to protect him from the T-1000.

John’s importance comes from the original film’s future storyline: he will become the leader of the human resistance against Skynet. Terminator 2 turns that future figure into the story’s present-day viewpoint character and places him at the center of the conflict.

Other actors played John Connor at different ages and in different films. Nick Stahl portrayed him in Terminator 3, Christian Bale played him in Terminator Salvation, and Michael Edwards appears as the adult John in a brief future sequence in Terminator 2.
