Who played Mutt Williams in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?

Shia LaBeouf played Mutt Williams in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Mutt is introduced as a rebellious motorcycle-riding teenager who asks Indiana Jones to help find his missing mentor, Harold Oxley.

Mutt’s story becomes central to the film when Indiana discovers that the young man is actually his son. Mutt was born Henry Walton Jones III, but he uses the surname Williams because he believed Colin Williams, his mother Marion Ravenwood’s husband, was his biological father. The revelation links the fourth film directly to Indiana’s earlier adventures and to Marion, who first appeared in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

LaBeouf was already known for films such as Holes and Transformers when Spielberg cast him. For the role, he adopted a 1950s greaser style influenced by films including The Wild One and Rebel Without a Cause. Viewers sometimes confuse the supporting cast with Mutt’s actor: Jim Broadbent plays Dean Stanforth, Ray Winstone plays Mac, and John Rhys-Davies does not play Mutt.
