Who played Kevin Arnold on the "Wonder Years"?
Answer
Fred Savage
Answer
Fred Savage
Fred Savage played Kevin Arnold on “The Wonder Years.”
The ABC comedy-drama premiered in 1988 and follows Kevin as he grows up in suburban America during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Adult Kevin narrates the story, with Daniel Stern providing the character’s voice-over narration while Savage portrays Kevin as a teenager.
Savage was only 12 when the series began, and the role made him one of television’s best-known child actors. He received two Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and became, at age 13, the youngest performer ever nominated in that category at the time.
A common mix-up is confusing the actor with the narrator: Savage played young Kevin, while Daniel Stern voiced the adult version. The show also starred Danica McKellar as Winnie Cooper, Josh Saviano as Paul Pfeiffer, Dan Lauria as Kevin’s father Jack, and Alley Mills as his mother Norma. The original series ran for six seasons, ending in 1993.
