Who played James Bond in "For Your Eyes Only"?

The story behind the answer

Roger Moore played James Bond in For Your Eyes Only. Released in 1981, the film was Moore’s fifth appearance as the fictional British secret agent.

Directed by John Glen, For Your Eyes Only follows Bond as he tries to recover the ATAC communications device, which can control Britain’s Polaris submarines. The mission takes him through Greece, Italy, and the Alps, combining espionage with a more grounded tone than the preceding Moonraker, which had sent Bond into space.

The film co-stars Carole Bouquet as Melina Havelock, Julian Glover as the villainous Kristatos, and Topol as the smuggler Milos Colombo. Sheena Easton performed the title song and became the first singer to appear in a Bond film’s main-title sequence.

Moore’s Bond films are sometimes mixed up because several came out close together. His seven official Eon Bond films began with Live and Let Die in 1973 and ended with A View to a Kill in 1985. For Your Eyes Only was the fifth of those seven.
