Who played Commander Lock in The Matrix Reloaded?

The story behind the answer

Who played Commander Lock in The Matrix Reloaded? Harry Lennix did. Lennix portrays Jason Lock, Zion’s military commander, in the 2003 film.

Lock is a human born in Zion, so unlike Neo, Morpheus, and many other characters, he cannot enter the Matrix. He is practical, skeptical of prophecy, and frequently clashes with Morpheus over the best way to defend Zion from the machines. His relationship with Niobe adds another layer to the conflict, since she was previously involved with Morpheus.

Lennix also reprised the role in The Matrix Revolutions and appeared as Lock in the related Enter the Matrix video game. The answer is sometimes confused with the actors playing other prominent figures: Helmut Bakaitis played the Architect, Lambert Wilson played the Merovingian, and Bruce Spence played the Trainman. Lennix later became widely known for roles including General Swanwick in Man of Steel and its sequel.
