In The Matrix Reloaded, Niobe is the captain of the hovercraft Logos.
Niobe is a Zion resistance fighter portrayed by Jada Pinkett Smith. The Logos is the smallest and most maneuverable hovercraft in the human fleet, and its compact crew includes Niobe, first mate Ghost, and operator Sparks.
The ship becomes especially important in the sequels. Niobe pilots it during missions connected to the search for the Nebuchadnezzar, then eventually gives the Logos to Neo and Trinity so they can travel toward the machine city. The craft’s speed and maneuverability make it well suited to dangerous missions.
A common mix-up is confusing Niobe with Morpheus, who captains the Nebuchadnezzar. Persephone and the Oracle are important characters but never captain the Logos; Trinity serves as a crew member and pilot on other missions, not its captain.
