Who is the protagonist of the standalone game Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation?
Answer
Aveline de Grandpré
Answer
Aveline de Grandpré
Aveline de Grandpré is the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation.
Aveline is a French and African Assassin operating in and around New Orleans during the eighteenth century. The game follows her missions against Templar influence, her relationships with the Assassin Brotherhood, and her efforts to oppose slavery and exploitation in colonial Louisiana.
Liberation was originally released for PlayStation Vita in 2012 alongside Assassin’s Creed III. It was later ported and remastered for other platforms. Aveline’s identity as a woman of mixed French and African heritage is central to the story, and the game gives her different outfits that support distinct approaches to stealth and social movement.
Aveline is not Élise de la Serre from Unity, Shao Jun from Chronicles: China, or Evie Frye from Syndicate. Those characters belong to other games and historical settings.
