Who is the protagonist of Assassin's Creed Unity?

The protagonist of Assassin's Creed Unity is Arno Dorian. He is a French Assassin whose story unfolds in Paris during the French Revolution, beginning in the years before the 1789 uprising and continuing through its political turmoil.

Arno is adopted by François de la Serre, the Grand Master of the French Templars. After de la Serre is murdered, Arno joins the Assassins and investigates the conspiracy surrounding the death. His personal relationship with Élise de la Serre creates an unusual connection between the Assassin and Templar sides of the conflict.

Unity was released in 2014 and emphasizes cooperative missions for up to four players, alongside freerunning across a detailed revolutionary Paris. Arno is distinct from Jacob and Evie Frye, who lead Syndicate in Victorian London. Shay Cormac is the central character of Rogue, while Edward Kenway appears in Black Flag.
