Aveline de Grandpré is the playable protagonist of Assassin's Creed Liberation.

Aveline is a Creole woman and Assassin active in 18th-century Louisiana. The game follows her efforts against Templar influence while she navigates the contrasting social expectations of New Orleans, the bayou and plantation society. Her identity and status affect how she can move through the world and interact with different groups.

Liberation was first released for the PlayStation Vita in 2012 as a companion title to Assassin's Creed III. It was later ported and remastered for other platforms. Aveline is sometimes mistakenly associated with Elise de la Serre, who is a major character in Assassin's Creed Unity, but they belong to different stories and historical settings.
