Peter Jones is the only original Dragon to remain on the British television series Dragon's Den throughout its run.
Jones joined the programme when the first British series premiered in 2005. The other original Dragons were Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis, Rachel Elnaugh and Doug Richard. Each of those investors eventually left the regular panel, while Jones continued to appear as a Dragon.
Jones is a British entrepreneur whose business interests have included technology, telecommunications, leisure and property. His role on the programme made him one of the most recognisable investors in British factual entertainment, particularly because of his long tenure and frequent focus on commercial scalability.
Deborah Meaden is another long-serving Dragon, but she was not part of the original panel. She joined during the third series, so she cannot be the answer to a question about the original investor who stayed throughout.
