Peter Jones is the only original Dragon still appearing on the main UK version of Dragon's Den.
Jones joined the programme when the British series began in 2005. He has remained a central member of the panel while many other investors have departed, returned or been introduced in later series. His background includes interests in technology, media, telecommunications, property and retail, giving him a broad range of experience during pitches.
The word “original” refers to the investors who formed the first panel, not to every Dragon who appeared during the programme's entire history. Duncan Bannatyne and Rachel Elnaugh were among the early panelists, while Theo Paphitis joined the show in its second series. Their later departures mean that Jones has the longest continuous association with the main UK panel.
