Who is the mayor of Quahog on "Family Guy"?

Adam West is the mayor of Quahog on Family Guy. The character, usually called Mayor Adam West or simply Mayor West, is an eccentric fictionalized version of the actor who voiced him.

West first appeared as Quahog's mayor in the episode “Fifteen Minutes of Shame,” which aired during Family Guy's second season in 2000. The character's bizarre decisions, self-important behavior, and apparent detachment from ordinary reality became a recurring source of jokes in the series.

The role cleverly connected Adam West's real-life celebrity with the show's surreal comedy. West was already famous for playing Batman in the 1960s television series Batman, but Family Guy used his familiar persona in an intentionally absurd political role. After the actor died in 2017, the series eventually retired the character by killing off Mayor West. The later character Wild Wild West, voiced by Sam Elliott, became Quahog's mayor, which can cause confusion in questions about the show's current fictional leadership.
