Who is the main villain in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'?
Answer
Vulture (Adrian Toomes)
Answer
Vulture (Adrian Toomes)
The main villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming is Vulture, the criminal identity of Adrian Toomes. Michael Keaton portrays Toomes in the 2017 MCU film.
Toomes is introduced as a salvage-company owner whose business collapses after the Battle of New York. When the government-backed Department of Damage Control takes over the cleanup operation, Toomes turns to selling salvaged alien and advanced technology on the black market. He uses this equipment to build a powerful flight suit with mechanical wings, becoming the Vulture.
Peter Parker first treats the Vulture as a mystery criminal while trying to balance school life with his responsibilities as Spider-Man. Toomes eventually discovers Peter’s secret identity and becomes a personal threat, not just a citywide one. Their conflict culminates in a confrontation aboard a Staten Island ferry and later at a warehouse.
The other listed characters are connected to Toomes but are not the film’s primary villain. Phineas Mason is the Tinkerer, who helps develop the weapons; Herman Schultz is the Shocker; and Mac Gargan is the Scorpion, who appears as a secondary criminal. Vulture is the central antagonist.
