What villain identity is used by Sergei Kravinoff?
Answer
Kraven the Hunter
Answer
Kraven the Hunter
Sergei Kravinoff uses the villain identity Kraven the Hunter.
A Russian immigrant and descendant of an aristocratic family, Sergei Kravinoff becomes a fanatical big-game hunter determined to prove that he is the world's greatest. Spider-Man becomes his favorite quarry because Kravinoff sees defeating the superhero as the ultimate test of his skill.
Kraven traditionally relies on physical ability, tracking expertise, hunting knowledge, and an enhanced-strength serum rather than guns or high-tech weapons. The serum also slows his aging. His personal code often emphasizes facing prey directly, although his methods and morality remain villainous.
Puma and Tarantula are separate Spider-Man antagonists, while Chameleon is another member of the Kravinoff family and Kraven's half-brother in many versions. Sergei is the original and best-known Kraven, though other characters—including his son Vladimir and daughter Ana—have used the name at different points.
