Who is the main historical protagonist of Assassin's Creed II?
Answer
Ezio Auditore
Answer
Ezio Auditore
Ezio Auditore is the main historical protagonist of Assassin's Creed II.
Ezio is a young Florentine nobleman whose life changes after members of his family are executed. He joins the Assassin Brotherhood and spends much of the game pursuing the people responsible while uncovering a wider conspiracy involving the Templars. His story takes place mainly in Renaissance Italy.
The game begins in Florence and later visits locations including Monteriggioni, Venice, and the Vatican. Leonardo da Vinci is an important ally, adapting historical inventions for Ezio's use. The narrative also connects Ezio's experiences to Desmond Miles through the Animus in the modern-day storyline.
Ezio returns as the central historical character in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Altaïr belongs to the first game, while Edward Kenway is the lead character of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, making those names common mix-ups.
