Who is the leader of the Claimers?

Joe is the leader of the Claimers in The Walking Dead. He heads the violent band of armed raiders who encounter Daryl Dixon during the fourth season and later pursue Rick’s group.

Joe first appears in “Claimed,” where the Claimers occupy a house that Rick is hiding inside. After finding Daryl alone on the road, Joe recruits him into the group. The Claimers follow a crude rule that anything they claim belongs to them, but their behavior becomes increasingly brutal as they raid homes and attack other survivors.

The group eventually tracks Rick, Michonne, and Carl because Joe blames Rick for Lou’s death. In the confrontation near Terminus, Joe announces his intention to kill Rick and threatens the others. Rick kills Joe in the fight, after which Daryl, Michonne, and Rick defeat the remaining Claimers. Len, Tony, and Dan are members of the group, not its leader.
