Evie Frye is the female playable protagonist in Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
Evie is an Assassin who operates in London during the Industrial Revolution. She shares the game's leading role with her twin brother, Jacob Frye. The siblings arrive in London in 1868 and work to weaken Templar control over the city while building alliances and expanding their gang, the Rooks.
Evie's approach emphasizes stealth, investigation, and searching for Pieces of Eden, while Jacob often focuses more directly on gang warfare and combat. Players can switch between the twins during much of the main campaign, although some missions are assigned to a particular character.
Evie is distinct from Aveline de Grandpré, the protagonist of Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, and from Kassandra, the selectable protagonist of Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Syndicate was released in 2015 and is set in Victorian London, with recognizable locations such as the Thames, Westminster, and the Tower of London.
