Who is the alter ego of Spider-Man?

The alter ego of Spider-Man is Peter Parker. He is a brilliant but ordinary New York teenager who gains spider-like abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider.

Peter Parker first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962, created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. Unlike many earlier superheroes, Peter was written as a young person dealing with money problems, school, family responsibilities, and social insecurity while trying to protect others.

His famous sense of responsibility comes from the death of his Uncle Ben, who was killed after Peter chose not to stop a fleeing criminal. Peter later develops web-shooters, a spider-sense, superhuman strength, agility, and the ability to cling to surfaces. Tony Stark, Bruce Wayne, and Clark Kent are different heroes’ identities: Iron Man, Batman, and Superman, respectively.
