Rob Law invented the Trunki children's ride-on suitcase rejected by the Dragons on the British programme Dragons' Den.
Law designed Trunki as a child-friendly piece of hand luggage that could also be ridden when travelling through airports. The product grew from his earlier concept for a ride-on suitcase and was launched by his company Magmatic.
Law appeared on Dragons' Den in 2006 but did not secure an investment. The rejection became widely discussed because Trunki later achieved major commercial success and won design recognition. Its story is often used as an example of why a television panel's decision is not a definitive test of a product's future.
Trunki is sometimes confused with Tangle Teezer, another well-known product associated with a rejected Dragons' Den pitch. The inventor is different: Rob Law created the wheeled children's suitcase, while Shaun Pulfrey created the detangling hairbrush.
