Who invented the Tangle Teezer hairbrush that was pitched on the BBC series Dragon's Den?

The story behind the answer

Shaun Pulfrey invented the Tangle Teezer hairbrush that was pitched on the BBC series Dragon's Den.

Pulfrey developed the Tangle Teezer after working as a hair colourist and noticing how difficult it could be to remove tangles without pulling or damaging hair. He created a brush with flexible teeth arranged to separate hair rather than forcing through knots.

Pulfrey presented the invention on Dragon's Den in 2007 but did not secure an investment. The company nevertheless grew after the appearance, selling the brush internationally and expanding into several designs for different hair types and uses.

The Tangle Teezer story is often cited as an example of a business gaining publicity despite leaving the Den without a deal. It is separate from Trunki, another well-known product associated with the programme.
