Who invented the ride-on children's suitcase Trunki after pitching it on Dragon's Den?

The story behind the answer

Rob Law invented the ride-on children's suitcase Trunki and pitched it on Dragon's Den.

Law developed Trunki as a child-friendly travel case that could be ridden, carried or pulled. He presented the product to the Dragons in 2006, seeking investment to help grow the business. Although the panel declined to invest, Law continued developing and selling the product through his company, Magmatic.

The pitch became notable because Trunki went on to achieve commercial success after the televised rejection. Its story is often used to show that a failed Dragon's Den pitch does not necessarily predict a product's future performance.

Rob Law is the inventor associated with Trunki, while the Dragons were the potential investors hearing the proposal. Those roles are sometimes conflated when the pitch is discussed, but the product creator and the television investors are distinct.
