Who hosted the first two series of the British television show Dragons' Den?
Answer
Adrian Chiles
Answer
Adrian Chiles
Adrian Chiles hosted the first two series of the British television show Dragons' Den.
The programme premiered on BBC Two in 2005, with Chiles presenting the early episodes in which entrepreneurs sought investment from a panel of wealthy businesspeople. Evan Davis later became the show's best-known long-term presenter, but he did not host the opening two series.
Chiles subsequently became associated with television and radio presenting, including The Apprentice: You're Fired and football broadcasting. His Dragons' Den role is sometimes confused with Davis's tenure because Davis presented the programme for many years and became strongly identified with its format.
The presenter introduces each pitch, manages the questions and announces when the entrepreneur leaves the den. The dragons themselves make the investment decisions, while the presenter does not act as one of the investors.
