Who holds the Masters record for consecutive cuts made?

The story behind the answer

Tiger Woods holds the Masters record for consecutive cuts made, with 24 straight from 1997 through 2024.

Woods began the streak as a 21-year-old Masters champion in 1997 and extended it across 24 consecutive appearances in which he reached the weekend. The run ended when he did not compete in 2025, but the record itself remains 24 consecutive cuts made.

This record is different from the total number of cuts made. Jack Nicklaus holds the overall Masters record for cuts made, with 37, while Fred Couples and Gary Player also rank highly for longevity. A player must make the halfway cut in each consecutive tournament; missed appearances do not count as missed cuts.

Woods's streak survived changing eras, injuries and interruptions to his playing schedule. His 2024 appearance was especially notable: making the cut gave him the outright record, surpassing the previous mark of 23 held by Gary Player and Fred Couples.
