Miguel Rojas hit the Dodgers’ game-tying solo home run in the ninth inning of 2025 World Series Game 7.
Rojas launched the homer off Toronto closer Jeff Hoffman with one out in the top of the ninth, cutting the Blue Jays’ lead to 4–3. The unexpected blast gave Los Angeles a chance to survive the deciding game and eventually win 5–4 in 11 innings.
The homer was historic: Rojas became the first player to hit a game-tying home run in the ninth inning of a World Series Game 7. He had not even been in the Dodgers’ starting lineup for the first five games of the series, making his late-series contribution especially memorable.
Rojas also played a crucial defensive role later in the inning. With Toronto threatening to win in the bottom of the ninth, he helped start the force play at home that prevented the Blue Jays from scoring. Andy Pages then made a key catch, setting up Will Smith’s go-ahead homer in the 11th.
