Evan Davis has presented the UK version of Dragons' Den since its launch in 2005.
Davis is a British journalist, broadcaster and economist. Before and alongside his work on the programme, he became widely known for presenting BBC news and current-affairs programmes, including Newsnight and PM on BBC Radio 4.
On Dragons' Den, Davis introduces the entrepreneurs, manages the studio discussion and helps viewers follow the financial proposals. The Dragons themselves are the investors; Davis is the presenter rather than a member of the investment panel.
A common mix-up is to identify a Dragon as the show's host because the investors dominate the screen time. The UK programme has also had international adaptations with different presenters, so Evan Davis specifically identifies the British edition.
