Evan Davis has presented the UK television programme Dragons' Den since its first episode in 2005.
Davis is a British journalist, economist and broadcaster who became the programme's long-running presenter. His role is to introduce the entrepreneurs, explain the pitch setting and guide viewers through the negotiations between contestants and investors.
He is also known for his work at the BBC outside Dragons' Den, including presenting Newsnight and the BBC Radio 4 programme The Bottom Line. Those roles can cause occasional confusion because Davis is strongly associated with current affairs as well as business television.
The presenter is distinct from the Dragons themselves. Investors have changed over the years, but Davis has remained the consistent on-screen host of the British series from its launch.
