Who has presented the British television programme Dragon's Den since 2007?

The story behind the answer

Evan Davis has presented the British television programme Dragon's Den since 2007.

Davis is a British economist, journalist and broadcaster. He took over the presenting role after Adrian Chiles, who hosted the programme during its early period. As presenter, Davis introduces the entrepreneurs, helps move the pitches along and provides links between the individual business proposals.

The presenter is separate from the Dragons. The Dragons are the investors who question the entrepreneurs and may offer money for an ownership share, while the presenter manages the television programme rather than deciding whether an investment is made.

Davis has also been known for work in news and current affairs, including presenting BBC Radio 4's Today programme. His long tenure on Dragon's Den is one reason his name is closely associated with the British edition, although he is not one of the investors seated in the den.
