Evan Davis has presented the BBC television series Dragons' Den since its UK launch in 2005.
Davis is a British economist, journalist and broadcaster. Before joining Dragons' Den, he was best known for presenting BBC Radio 4's economics programme Today and later Newsnight. His role on the programme is to introduce entrepreneurs, manage the pitch process and invite the Dragons to question each business.
The presenter is sometimes confused with the investors because the Dragons dominate the programme's publicity. Davis, however, has never been one of the Dragons. The investor panel has changed repeatedly, while Davis has remained the consistent on-screen host across the show's UK run.
