Who has hosted the UK television show Dragons' Den since series 17?

Evan Davis has hosted the UK television show Dragons' Den since series 17.

Davis is a British journalist, broadcaster and economist who became the programme’s presenter in 2019. He took over from broadcaster and comedian Nick Hewer, who had presented the show for several series.

The presenter is separate from the Dragons themselves. Davis introduces entrepreneurs, explains the investment proposals and manages the conversations, while the panel members decide whether to make offers. This role is sometimes confused with that of the investors because the host is regularly visible during each pitch.

Davis is also widely known for presenting BBC radio and television programmes, including the BBC Radio 4 current-affairs programme Today. His appointment continued the show’s tradition of using an experienced broadcaster to guide the pitches without investing in them.
