Peter Jones has been the only original investor to remain continuously on the British Dragons' Den panel.
Jones joined the programme when it began in 2005. He is a British entrepreneur and investor whose business interests have included technology, media, retail and consumer products. His continued presence makes him the longest-serving member of the panel from the original line-up.
The original Dragons included Jones, Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Doug Richard and Simon Woodroffe. Several of those investors later left, while the panel changed repeatedly as new Dragons were introduced.
This fact is often confused with the claim that Jones was the show's first investor or its sole original Dragon. He was one member of the launch panel; his distinction is that he remained continuously while the other original investors departed.
