Peter Jones has been a dragon on every series of the British television show Dragon's Den.
Jones joined the original investor panel when the BBC programme began in 2005 and remained part of the regular cast throughout its subsequent series. His business interests have included technology, media, retail and property, giving him a broad profile when assessing contestants' proposals.
The other original dragons did not all remain for the entire run. Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Doug Richard and Simon Woodroffe were part of the initial lineup, while later panels included investors such as Deborah Meaden, Theo Paphitis, James Caan and Sarah Willingham.
A common mix-up is to identify the longest-serving dragon by counting appearances in a particular era rather than the complete programme. Jones is the continuous investor from the show's first series, although guest investors and temporary panel changes have also appeared over the years.
