Rob Law founded the British children's travel brand Trunki, which was featured on Dragon's Den.
Law created Trunki as a child-friendly alternative to conventional luggage. Its hard-shell case allows children to sit on it and ride while travelling, while an adult can pull it using the attached strap. The design addressed a practical problem faced by families in airports and other transport settings.
The product is linked to Law's company Magmatic, which developed and marketed Trunki internationally. Its bright colours, animal-inspired designs and unusual ride-on format helped it become recognisable in the crowded luggage market.
Trunki's Dragon's Den appearance is often cited as an example of a pitch that did not receive investment but still led to a successful business. That distinction matters: appearing on the show is not the same as obtaining a deal, and a product's later performance can diverge sharply from the investors' judgement in the studio.
