Who founded GripIt, the plasterboard-fixing product pitched on BBC's Dragon's Den?

The story behind the answer

Jordan Daykin founded GripIt, the plasterboard-fixing product pitched on BBC's Dragon's Den.

GripIt was developed as a way to secure items to plasterboard and other hollow wall surfaces. Daykin presented the product on Dragon's Den while still very young and secured investment from the panel. The pitch became notable because of his age and because the product addressed a practical household and construction problem.

Daykin’s appearance is frequently remembered as one of the programme’s youngest successful pitches. The business story also illustrates a recurring Dragon’s Den theme: a simple physical product can attract attention when it solves a common problem more effectively than ordinary fixings.

GripIt should not be confused with Tangle Teezer, another well-known product associated with the programme. Tangle Teezer was founded by Shaun Pulfrey, whereas GripIt was founded by Daykin.
