Patrice Désilets directed the original Assassin's Creed video game.
Désilets served as creative director on the project at Ubisoft Montreal. The game evolved from an early Prince of Persia concept into a new open-world action series built around parkour, stealth and historical settings.
The development team created a fictional conflict between the Assassins and Templars while placing missions in real cities during the Third Crusade. Désilets later served as creative director on Assassin's Creed II before leaving Ubisoft.
Jade Raymond was an executive producer on the original game, and Corey May wrote its script. Yves Guillemot was Ubisoft's chief executive, so none of those names identifies the game's director.
