Who composed the main musical score for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag?

Brian Tyler composed the main musical score for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

Tyler wrote the orchestral score for the 2013 game, helping give its Caribbean setting a distinctive musical identity. The soundtrack supports naval exploration, island travel, combat, and the more personal story of pirate captain Edward Kenway.

Black Flag also features traditional sea shanties and work songs that players can collect and hear aboard the Jackdaw. Those songs are separate from Tyler's original score, although both elements contribute to the game's maritime atmosphere. The soundtrack therefore combines cinematic composition with music drawn from sailors' culture.
