Who became the youngest-ever Dragon when he joined the British TV programme Dragons' Den in 2022?

The story behind the answer

Steven Bartlett became the youngest-ever Dragon when he joined the British TV programme Dragons' Den in 2022.

Bartlett joined the panel for the programme's nineteenth series. He was 29 when he became a Dragon, making his appointment notable because he was considerably younger than the business people who had previously occupied the chairs.

He co-founded Social Chain, a social-media marketing agency, and later became known for presenting the podcast The Diary of a CEO. His business background differs from that of several earlier Dragons because it is rooted strongly in digital media, online communities and technology-enabled marketing.

Bartlett's appointment is sometimes confused with the arrival of other younger investors, particularly Tej Lalvani, who joined in 2017. The defining record belongs to Bartlett: his 2022 appointment made him the youngest Dragon in the British version's history.
