Who became the youngest-ever Dragon on the UK television show Dragon's Den?

The story behind the answer

Steven Bartlett became the youngest-ever Dragon on the UK television show Dragon's Den.

The BBC announced Bartlett as a new investor for the nineteenth series in 2021. He was 28 when he joined the panel, making him the youngest dragon in the programme's UK history. Bartlett had co-founded Social Chain, a social-media marketing company, and later became known for The Diary of a CEO podcast.

His background differed from that of several older investors who had built careers in retail, manufacturing, property or traditional finance. Bartlett represented a newer technology and digital-media generation, reflecting the changing kinds of businesses seeking investment on the programme.

The title refers to the UK series and the age at which Bartlett joined the panel. It does not mean he was the youngest contestant ever to pitch, nor does it describe the international versions of Dragon's Den, whose panels have separate records.
