Who became the youngest-ever Dragon on the British television series Dragons' Den?

The story behind the answer

Steven Bartlett became the youngest-ever Dragon on the British television series Dragons' Den.

Bartlett joined the British panel in 2021, aged 28. He is an entrepreneur, author and podcaster who co-founded the social-media marketing company Social Chain. His appointment brought a younger technology and digital-media perspective to a panel that had traditionally included investors with long careers in retail, manufacturing, property and consumer businesses.

The “youngest-ever” description refers to age at the time of joining the British programme. It should not be confused with the age of a contestant, the youngest entrepreneur to pitch, or the youngest investor in another country's adaptation.

Bartlett was appointed alongside fellow new Dragon Sara Davies for the nineteenth series. His arrival was widely presented as a generational change for the format, particularly because many pitches increasingly involved online services, social media and digital brands.
