Steven Bartlett became the youngest Dragon on the BBC series Dragon's Den when he joined the panel in 2021.
Bartlett is a British entrepreneur, author and podcaster best known as the co-founder of Social Chain, a social-media marketing agency. His appointment brought a notably younger technology and digital-media perspective to the investor panel.
Before appearing on television, Bartlett built his public profile through online entrepreneurship and his podcast The Diary of a CEO. His background differs from that of several longer-serving Dragons, whose businesses were established in retail, manufacturing, property or consumer products.
The age distinction refers to his age when joining the panel, not to the age of the series or to the age of the businesses presented by contestants. He joined alongside the existing investment format rather than replacing the programme itself.
