Who are the twin protagonists of Assassin's Creed Syndicate?

The story behind the answer

The twin protagonists of Assassin's Creed Syndicate are Jacob and Evie Frye.

Jacob and Evie are English Assassins who travel to London in 1868, during the Industrial Revolution. They work to weaken Templar control over the city while building alliances with local gangs and reformers. Their relationship is central to the game's story because they often disagree about methods and priorities.

Jacob generally focuses on direct action and gang warfare, while Evie is more associated with stealth, investigation, and the search for a Piece of Eden. Players can switch between them for most of the campaign, although some missions require a particular twin.

Syndicate is set in Victorian London and includes historical figures such as Queen Victoria, Charles Dickens, Karl Marx, and Florence Nightingale. It was released in 2015. The Frye twins are distinct from Arno Dorian and Élise, who are associated with Assassin's Creed Unity.
