Which World of Warcraft expansion is set mainly in the Broken Isles?

The story behind the answer

Which World of Warcraft expansion is set mainly in the Broken Isles? Legion.

Legion is the World of Warcraft expansion set mainly in the Broken Isles. The island chain became the primary zone for the fight against the Burning Legion, with players exploring areas such as Azsuna, Highmountain, Stormheim, Suramar, Val’sharah, and the Broken Shore.

The Broken Isles have deep Warcraft history. They were once part of ancient Kalimdor before the Sundering sank them beneath the Great Sea. Gul’dan later raised the islands while searching for the Tomb of Sargeras, the place where the Burning Legion’s influence becomes central to the expansion’s story.

Dalaran was relocated above the Broken Isles and served as Legion’s neutral capital, which can cause confusion with the locations named in the other choices. Shadowlands centered on the afterlife realms, Battle for Azeroth focused on Kul Tiras and Zandalar, and Cataclysm transformed Azeroth after Deathwing’s return. Legion also introduced demon hunters, artifact weapons, and a level-cap increase from 100 to 110.
